Mic Picks Up Keyboard Sounds

I've changed my mic to the Meteor one since I found a good deal (It costs $70-ish)...it still picks up keyboard sounds but less...I guess I should save up for a keyboard or something...however for now it will do...Thanks for helping! :)

Well see if you can find the AT2020 USB version around your local sound store. It's around $150 but just $79 at the end of this month only, but the prices are online though. That is if you haven't already purchased a new mic already....

On audacity when you start a recording, for a few seconds just allow the mic to pick up any background noise, so type a bit, click etc then use the noise removal tool, highlight the first few seconds of background noise as the noise profile, then it will remove those noises from the entire recording

You can also use thick cardboard. Just open a cardboard box and put your mic into it. If you add an old T-shirt or blanket you created yourself a mini low budget recording box :)
