Mic Picks Up Keyboard Sounds

Sorry that I forgot to mention...we don't have black fridays here...and if there was one it would only be for grocery items and such....and there are little amount of microphone choices (w/o the price doubled)...I'll try moving the keyboard a bit more away alongside w/ me increasing my voice level. :)

Black friday is everywhere on the internet.

Going by the rest of the thread i'm guessing your best bet is to have the microphone somehow higher up and further from the keyboard (on a pile of something maybe?) and having the microphone and keyboard on different surfaces might also help?

I used to use one a silicone keyboard to combat that problem :P

To be perfectly honest, with a $30 mic like the Samson Meteorite Microphone, that you have, it's going to pick up a lot of noise no matter what. You can move it around as much as you like but it's better to invest in a higher priced mic if you really want the keyboard noise to lower down a bit. NT1A is selling around $50 on ebay on the bidding side, but it's a $200 mic if you're buying new.

I don't think I'll be able to buy things online since the taxes are expensive...I'm also not sure if I can still replace my mic...it does not have a defect or anything and it's hard to replace stuff here unlike in other countries. (I know some people...)

I'm pretty sure eBay doesn't charge taxes, the seller are charged taxes. Just ordered my new mic from B&H and they didn't charge taxes till Nov. 30. If the mic you have is under $75,you're going to pick up a lot of noise, unless you have a really great preamp, but that requires you to have an xlr mic.... The only thing I can think of is taping that thing on your shirt so it'll be closer to your mouth and farther away as possible from your keyboard. Then you can go ahead and use audacity for post production.

When my wife was living in the UK, FedEx would collect VAT off of the declared value of the package, even if it was shipped from a family member.
