Making the most of a Canon T3

RemiFrancisco

I've Got It
I want to start filming YouTube videos, but I keep thinking it does look good enough and it looks really low quality (potato low..)
Is there anything I could get to enhance my camera by any chance...?

Canon T3 is pretty powerful. Try experimenting with different lenses, lighting, external mics, and on board camera settings. The T3 can do some complex things, you just have to learn what you want it to look like and experiment until you find what you like. (Or look up a tutorial)

So much info.. Ill defiantly look up a tutorial. I know this thing can be pretty good when used well, but I just use it to post pictures on it really.. Then it just gathers dust..
Do u use a T3? I want examples of how good it is :)

Also, I saw your videos (awesome btw, I subbed) And I noticed your using a T3 too! I still have te beginners lens... Can I do anything with that or should I try and get a better lens?

I use a canon t3i for all my videos

I initially wanted a T3i in the first place, but I barely got my mum to get me the T3... Your videos look great. But I wanna know how to get that same qualitiy with the T3.. I think im gonna bid for a 50mm lens for my T3. Do u think the lens will help me?

Lenses do usually help with the quality but I've always found the best thing that helps with quality is the lighting

So I look to look for a lens kit & lighting?
What type of lighting do you have?

I usually film outdoors and in the middle of the day time and try to angle away from the sun so it never glares in the lens. other then that i have a z96 led light which i used in my club video to get decent enough lighting for everything to show up well enough

lens wise i literally use the stock 18-55mm lens that came with the canon but im looking into a tokina 11-16mm lens because it would help me a lot with a bunch of stuff im looking to do,

So a a LED light like this will help me?

HDV-Z96 7W 96 LED Light for Camera Camcorder DV

I cant put the link on for some reason..

I wanna make cover videos btw so I wont be filming outdoor any time soon tbh.
And we have the same lens.. So my first priority is to really look for a LED light

You will be better off with soft boxes to film indoors, they have a much better effect and the light isnt as sharp or hard
check out soft boxes on amazon, i remember i was gonna buy 2 for £80 before
