Low Subscriber Blues

Ok, Would You mind to give me some advice, please? I mean what software should i use or basic rules what to do? I'm kinda green with this matter but i learn fast. :)
I really like using camtasia 2. I have got it now on my mac. On my gaming pc I used to use Fraps (it lags quite a bit when not saving on a external harddrive) and editing it with Cyberlink powerdirector

Ya know I was feeling your pain as well until after talking to some people with higher sub counts than myself it kinda dawned on me that without subs to try to impress I'm much more free to express myself as I feel necessary in any given moment. The videos are all on there on youTube for the right people who are searching for similar topics to find. I'm just grateful to be able to follow my passion of video making.

I had the exact same problem. My channel is about 6 months old now and at around the 3 month mark I hit 25 subs or something. Most were friends I knew. After that I barely got any subs. Then once I started uploading videos more frequently and added in some better marketing my subs grew immensely. I'm now up to 37 and have got 7 subs in the past 20 days or so. I would defienetly say regular uploads help :)

You just need one video to catch on.. and from that you will be amazed at how many folks will start subbing.. but at the end of the day, sub count only matters if they actually come back to your channel.. Ive seen folks with 65,000 subs yet only 900 views per video.. that is worthless.

The title says it all. I've been making videos semi-consistently for a few years now. Some of my videos have cracked the 1,000 view mark (I've got one that might hit 3,000 by the end of the year). My videos receive mostly positive feedback, yet my subscriber count sits at 99 as of this moment. It didn't seem so bad until I noticed that quite a few people here (with much less views than myself) have quite a bit more subscribers than me- even the people that just started a month or so ago.

I'm perplexed! I'm sad (unrelated). And I think I'm getting sick (unrelated).

When I see these I high sub counts on other channels I conjure up stories of people that went on a sub4sub binge. Or they tried bots, but didn't like it so they stopped. These people often have a lot more subs than myself, but far less views- so something isn't right, right?!

My question is: what are you doing to get these people subbing? Are they even people?! Does it even matter? Does any of this even matter? I was half-hoping the world would end on the 21st so that I wouldn't need to ask these questions.

I'd like to hear your most sincere answers/apologies as soon as possible. I don't know how much longer I can go on without a nap.
Dude! You're not going to get subscribers that way! It shouldn't be about that. Viewers pick up on your real reasons behind your youtube account - whether you're doing something for fun, or to become popular. Nobody wants to watch someone who's just out for fame. I know not getting a lot of subscribers/ views can be disheartening...but success will come to you as long as you're doing it for the love of your area! Just stick in there, have fun and enjoy the ride, but don't set out to hit a lot of subscribers. I'd rather have 4 subscribers that loved watching my vids that 1000 who just flick on occasionally. Things are what you make of it, so have fun! If you get out to a bigger audience that's a bonus. Remember most other popular you tubers didn't become big for many years.
