Losing Drive To Do Youtube

Hey everyone,
Just thought I'd get some things off of my chest......I haven't had the drive to do Youtube in quite some time. I just feel like it's SO much work, putting the make up on, setting up the lights and camera, filming it, editing it, uploading it. I have 3 kids and I find it really hard to just..stay on top of everything. Yes, they are in school now, but I still have a 4 year old at home. I haven't written a song in ages :( I tried the other day, and just..nothing came out. I have no intentions of quitting Youtube at all, but it's definitely on the back burner right now. I feel bad about this, as I know a few new people have subscribed to me, and I've had very loyal subscribers for quite some time. I don't have many, but I certainly appreciate the ones I do have. Anyways, thanks for reading. This has been a post I've been wanting to post for quite some time. Anyone else feel like they're losing drive?

Yeah, at the moment I'm feeling this as well. I have tons of ideas, but I work full time, and on my days off I'm usually at doctors appointments and crap, and trying to film a video uninterrupted is a nightmare sometimes because I live with my family still. I just wish there were more hours in the day... or that I didn't have to work, haha.

Kudos for doing youtube with kids and everything, that's gotta be tough. I'm sure that this feeling will pass and everything will balance out.

I don't think I've ever had this feeling since I was still starting out. It probably is a bit easier for me to get videos out because I am in university and have more free time than most. However, I do know something that might help. Winston Churchill gave an amazing quote that helped me when I wasn't getting the results I desired: "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts." I love this quote because it gives you a better perspective of success. Continuing doing what you love is real success, and I hope you have all the success you can :)

As long as you don't leave YTtalk. :sorry2: I can't handle anymore friends leaving.

I think everyone has that feeling at one point, and for you it's probably double of what those people feel because you're a mother and have so much more to think about and worry about. So it's only natural that you'd feel this eventually. I'd say just leave it for as long as you need. 6 months, a year, whatever it may be. You'll get the itch again and want to make videos again, eventually. It always comes back...

I certainly feel like lately I haven't had the drive for YouTube.
I uploaded every single day for 105 days straight, and then, as my videos started requiring more editing,I fell behind, a bit.
I've been a little busier, but that's not my main problem.
The will to get up and record is not really too strong, right now. I do appreciate MY subscribers and friends who have helped me get my channel off to a decent campaign, but I just haven't been feeling in the mood lately.
I legitimately haven't recorded anything in two weeks. Everything I've been uploading is from footage I stockpiled (good thing I did that, otherwise I'd be down sh** creek without a paddle).

Whenever I feel like that I just quit YouTube for a little bit. I have recently cut my vlogs down to one a week, and have completely neglected my dashcam channel. Sometimes there just is less drive to do YouTube. You might need a little vacation. YouTube doesn't work if you don't have fun with it.

I haven't uploaded much lately and I have a bunch of stuff that I've recorded. Just no time to edit since I'm finishing my masters program. WAY too busy most of the time. I've also been doing teeshirt designs lately, so that takes up my editing time as well. I've only had a couple successful teeshirts, but it's a rush when you see them start selling. It's a bit disappointing when they don't sell though which I've had a streak of lately... Youtube and designing shirts will probably never be out of the question for me, it's just a question of how much time I dedicate to each.[DOUBLEPOST=1411189392,1411189325][/DOUBLEPOST]
