I've Got It
Not sure what I think of this. I'll withhold any judgement until we learn more.
This seems like YouTube is trying to migrate into the tv business since most of the "Channels" seemed like a tv channel, I like google but in my opinion this is going a bit too far
google is trying to get rid of television lol ... imagine a side that is "YouTube TV" similar like television with censors and everything and the other side is "YouTube Classic" for the normal youtubeìsh content ... i mean allready ppl use the computer more then they use the tvIt is clear that Google is trying to create a unified experience across all platforms. From the smallest ipod screens to the largest home entertainment center screens.
the you tubers that create the amazing content that costs more then it is worth isn`t necessarily a loss ... if the video is amazing then in the long run its gonna bring more ppl that will increase the viewing count and make more revenue don`t you think ?In my opinion, this opens up opportunities for people who want to provide content through YouTube since they are the #1 mobile video content delivery system and Netflix is #2 for mobile. For non-mobile, Netflix is #1, YouTube is #2.
Some YouTubers create content that is expensive to make and the advertising revenue might not be worth it for them. I'm low budget so ads are fine for me. But even I would consider to provide content on a paid channel. Maybe parents don't want their kids to see advertisements so they would be willing to pay a small monthly fee for a separate channel from me.
