Learn from my Horrible Mistake with Jukin Media

It seems very odd they just gave it to someone to post on Facebook for free? It doesn't matter that FB doesn't have ads, these large companies are willing to pay to license content (typically $500-1000 per video)

Well I truly hope your next video works out well for you! Sounds like you've got a much better idea of what to fix.

Oh, man. It's so sad that always, always, ALWAYS the creative people are the ones who get the least benefit out of the things they make.

Junkin is fail army and they have literally millions of subscribers so it is not hard for any video they post to go viral... because most of them do. The chances of your video ever going viral could have gone either way.

Secondly, you signed a contract with Junkin when they contacted you and when you signed that you gave them permission to do whatever they want with the video (unless you had some special agreement which it does not sound like).

Yea i signed the contract so i am dealing with the consequences. My main reason for signing was because i was told at any point i could terminate the contract, HOWEVER this is proving to not be the case. They are not responding to emails and contacting them through phone isn't working either. Such a mess, lots of lessons learned

Do you mind showing us what video it was?

From my experience, everyone I speak to who has sold footage to them either never sees any revenue or very little.
They are extremely difficult to work with... they are fantastic at the start, very friendly and willing to help, then you sign and it's like "SEEYA, WOULDN'T WANNA BE YA!"
