Kipkay announces he's adding content to Vessel

I Love YTtalk
He does weekly videos on Do It Yourself tips and hacks. He's going to upload his videos first on Vessel and then a week later, make it available on YouTube. It doesn't look like his subscribers were happy about that announcement.

I'm curious about Vessel, heard about it, but not sure how it works. Is the 2.99 a month access to all channels on Vessel? Seems like a major money grab for already sucesful channels...

I haven't really checked Vessel out yet, I suppose that his audience thinks that he just does it for the money, or maybe they just don't like Vessel.

No idea if there's anything wrong with Vessel, I don't really want to pay money to see videos from my favorite YouTubers earlier. It's Awesome that it's possible though, this site has the creative creators who can help the site to become a thing just like Netflix.

Do the creators get paid for it? I guess some need the extra money to be able to pay bills etc so they can still make videos for YouTube or anything else, it's not really anyone's business what people do with the money that they make anyways.

I don't particularly like Vessel and the users of Vessel. To me it just seems like they want more money and that's all they care about. I get it from a business aspect, but as a viewer I don't really appreciate it. It's their choice so I'll leave them be.

Sounds like he got what he deserved if you put money ahead of your passion for making videos..

Vessel sounds more of an elitist/snob version of Youtube and I sure as hell wouldn't be happy if any of my bigger subscriptions bring their stuff there as well.

Vessel has zero community in the comments section even on the well viewed videos. Also I don't like the layout of Vessel either, it's dark and uninviting. Also, Vessel is just big creators making scripted (budgeted) videos, there's no average joe making a cool tips for this video game video.

Consumers who pay $2.99 hey to see all of the content on Vessel. They also get to see the content classified as early access which are videos that creators promise to not upload anywhere else for period (3 days? 7 days?)

Does anyone really need to make a $5 mini power sander (a Kipkay video) out of an electric toothbrush so badly that they can't wait 7 days?
