Just wondering why..

i monetise most of my vids, i tend to get around 10 to 20 views dpending on the vid content which i'm happy bout as its more than i xpect on my simple ideas - truth b told the monetisation bit is not alot but it does build up with time and patience (plus the odd accidental click on the add frm the viewer)

Small channels monetizing vids? agh.

For a gaming channel that is in fact a death sentence if you're considering partnership.

A lot of times when I go onto forums and such I find the most common reason members monetize their videos before actually having a partnership or a substantial fanbase is because they don't know any better.

A lot more people than you think join YouTube with the expectation of fame and fortune for doing something that they know they're good at.

Though they forget to realize that other people are also as good as them if not better.

So they monetize their videos without a second thought. Then come to YouTube forums asking around on how to fix their problems.

I would agree that if a channel has a small number of views and that it would take a year or two to hit that $100 payout threshold, why bother. I would recommend being ad-free as much as possible to try to entice more viewers to watch your videos. If a video starts to gain traction, monetize that video.

As for Fullscreen, I am separated from them. I had over 900 videos and they mass-monetized all of my videos in violation of our agreement. I was told that I could message them with the titles and URL's of the videos and include which monetization setting I desired. I had over 900 videos at the time and I'm not going to waste more time with them. Now that I am separated, I will do the adjusting myself.
