Isn't it easier to go FULL-TIME on Youtube when your only making $12.00 and hour

It goes without saying that YouTube and content creating is not for everyone. You'll have to go the two-job route if you have no expectations of being an overnight online sensation.

That being said, don't feel that it is an impossible endeavor. You need to focus on learning and honing your craft. More importantly, you need a very strong work ethic if you want any chance to be successful. Most people fail because they think being a YouTuber is easy and when they try it, they sulk in their low viewership and blame the system rather than themselves. Learn the ins out and outs of YouTube or any other platform relevant to your craft, work on your content, and if money is a problem, you need to hold on to that second job.

But you will have to be honest with yourself. Because even with a strong work ethic, some people just can't connect as an influencer with a financially sustainable audience. Just as some people are naturally charismatic while others, as much as they try to teach themselves, will never develop even a fraction of the charisma as a math teacher. It's at this point you have to be honest and move on to something else. Usually the experience of attempting to be a creator will allow you to better understand your own strengths and then follow a career path where you can optimally utilize that strength.
