You are correct. He set up an example but actually didn't do the math.
His point is valid if you change it a bit.

70% of $8 CPM or
90% of $6 CPM.

While a network may give you 90%, what you may not know is that their average CPM is $6. There are even people on this board who have given examples where they are getting $1 CPM. You might think you are getting a great contract at 90% but really, you're getting robbed.

I have heard people with Curse getting anywhere from $4 -$14 CPM. They say the average is 5, but from the people I have spoken to, it is more like $8 or $9. I may have just found some lucky partners though.
 
A 90/10 is great, but I always ask myself "90% of what?" If it's a network that's going to give you 90% but not give you any tools or support or upselling your ad inventory, what's the 10% loss for?

I'm not saying Curse doesn't do that, I just know a lot of people from a lot of networks are on here complaining that they're making less with a 90/10 then some people are in networks where they get a 70/30.

Would it be possible for you to check out my channel and tell me what kind of CPM I could expect if I joined curse? Most of my audience are in the US, Canada and UK.

I am a partner and i am really happy. The higher the % of english speaking views, the better the CPM
