Go to analytics, there will be a subscribers section you can click on. When you do, it will show what "caused" the gain or loss in subs.

The only information I see says "Source: Channel / other". Is that what you're referring to? Is there anything that gives me more specific information? (Clicking "Channel / other" just shows me the geography of the source.")

That means that your channel in general got the sub. If it's a specific video, it will show "video" as a link you can click to see what videos actually did it.
