Is the Blue Yeti the best mic...

Blue is making an absolute killing off of their unofficial unpaid internet marketing team of people who have never heard of another type of mic.
blue is also making a killing off being one of the best studio micrphone producers used in many professional studios around the world. It just so happens that they make affordable USB microphone which most people like and have great sound quality.

Apparently the USB ports are very easily damaged, I've seen huge amounts of Yetis on eBay that were damaged in that way and being sold for parts.

Yes. They are very easy to damage. If you don't take care of your equipment then you can guarantee a damaged mic.

That microphone and a pop filter will be amazing for your video's audio. Like, really good. Plus its USB, which means its all digital. Digital is good :)

I'd love to see a source for this "one of the best studio microphone producers". Been in more than my fair share of studios, never seen anyone using Blue mics except for podcasting at home. Electrovoice, Shure, Audiotechnica, Rode. Never Blue.
