Is the Blue Yeti the best mic...

it is a very good mic, for higher quality and less hissing with your sibilants though you may want to grab a pop filter as well :)

What is a "pop filter" and which one would you recommend? Also, I like to do my commentaries laying or sitting down so can the Blue Yeti do that?

I'd also suggest a pop filter. It will filter out the popping sounds you get with certain letters, such as P's and B's etc. makes the audio much nicer overall.

if you google pop filter i'm sure some will pop up or google tiger pop screen with large pop filter.

Has anyone had any experience using the "Blue Snowball" mic? It looks to be high quality and says that its "Plug n Play". I just need it to record simple voice commentary, so should I get the "Blue Yeti" or "Blue Snowball".

Note: Money is not a factor.

A pop filter is little more than pantyhose stretched over a coat hanger. Look for one with a solid clamp. The rest doesn't matter.

Blue Yeti, best in the $100-$200 range? No.
