Is it important to communicate change?

I'm wondering how important people think it is to communicate changes to your subscribers?
As my channel's still small and growing I'm constantly trying new things and experimenting and I'm wondering how important people think it is to make little 'channel update' type videos to explain things?

I see some other smaller channels and, no shade intended, but there's more 'channel update' videos than there is good quality content. I'm just kinda worried about falling into that trap, especially when I personally as a viewer wouldn't be too fussed.

I put out tweets and things to update followers but should I seriously consider spending time making actual video's explaining all this?

Would be interesting to hear your thoughts >_<
 
I'd say once you have decided on a style you want to go for, aka done experimenting for awhile, you could do an "update video" and explain whats up about that. Also, you could make one if you do a really big change to the channel, or if something cool or interesting happened in your life recently.
I've done quite a few "update videos" or videos that talk about things in the channel and some things that have happened in my life recently, but i agree with you on making sure you have actual content and not just a bunch of channel updates xP

I'd look at your channel to get this answer but I'm in work and can't get on YouTube unfortunately dude haha so, do your subscribers respond well to these videos? Like do they appreciate them and comment back about changes and things? I might give it a whirl to be honest, can't hurt to try I guess.
Oh and thanks for the help man, really appreciate it ^_^
 
A few of my subscribers usually comment about some of the changes, i really only do these kinds of videos when i have slightly interesting things that happened in my life or when something somewhat drastic happened to the channel xD
