Is it even possible to grow a minecraft channel anymore?

Probably, but just about any genre nowadays has already been filled with the haves and have nots. To become a have you need to stand out on your own and it has to come natural. Too many have nots try too hard, and fail in the process because they aren't naturally like the person they are wanting to portray.

One thing is for sure, if you don't put yourself out there you'll never know. Go for it! Just know that you shouldn't join up with the hopes of becoming the next big hit if you don't have a passion to create. A YouTube channel, big or small, is a labor of love.

If you did other unique games AND unique Minecraft videos, you could grow quite easily. But it isn't entirely easy, keep in mind. Especially with Minecraft. My recommendation would be to play other games that are quite unique to get you noticed more and play minecraft but make very unique videos on it.

Unlike the other YTtalk members that have commented before me I don't honestly think you can! Out of all of the over-saturated gaming content on YT Minecraft is the worst! Unless you have a connection to a big guy it will be literally impossible to grow solely on MC! Every thing has been done! Talk shows, let's play's,custom map walkthrough's, parkour, PVP/Hunger Games, Minigames etc... If you want to see success on YT, MC is not the way to go!
To me it all comes down to personality.
If you have the greatest personality in the world, it is very possible to grow a Minecraft channel.

You might, but it is so over-saturated that it is almost impossible to get discovered, And even if someone does find your channel some how, how is one share gonna do?

I found a channel that was made in 2014 that is Minecraft and have over 100k subs, so it must still be possible :O

To me, all that an oversaturated market means is that there are millions of people out there who are interested in consuming your content. Instead of saying "oh theres too many people, I give up", look at it as an opportunity to get a slice of that massive market.

Now imagine trying to start a channel about bird feeders, or collecting golden squirrel trinkets. There can't be too many people out there who are willing to watch that stuff

Very difficult. In fact, it would be one of the worst channel choices at this point in time. It's all about luck and getting that one viral video that gets like a million views.

Of course you can. However, if you just do boring minecraft let's plays like so many kids on youtube, Im pretty sure you will get nowhere. There are types of videos that nobody has ever made before, its just a matter of thinking of them and basing your channel around it. Even thou it is over-saturated, there is still place for more (just like cod and fifa)

If people were to think about things that way, we would never have the technological advancements we have today. Imagine if people just gave up - imagine if Newton, Einstein said "Oh, it's already been done. Not worth my time."

There's always a better way to do something. If you stop trying to improve every single day, you've already lost.
