Is it easier for woman to be successful YouTubers than men?

don't they call them "boobtubers"? but yea if often wondered this in the back of my mind then considered getting a sex change but girls with boring content seem to get more subs over the other guys with good content but as @Ylatten said it can go both ways which is absolutely right

so maybe if we don't do face cam in our videos and just have our pic of channing tatum we will gain more subs =][DOUBLEPOST=1423805454,1423805364][/DOUBLEPOST]also my post just doesn't go for gamers it goes for all channels unless you're running a Martha Stewart type of home style channel all those older ladies are hot ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1423805793][/DOUBLEPOST]I think my greatest hero of the last 4-5 years is the greatest voice for us less attractive youtubers its boogie2988
he shows his body and doesn't give a flying F what anyone thinks[DOUBLEPOST=1423805846][/DOUBLEPOST]but hes been in the game for a long long time and has earned those 2mil subs

HAHA! don't face the camera, I laughed, haha

Aren't pretty much all of the top channels aside from JennaMarbles run by dudes?

Where did this phony stat come up that mediocre channels run by young/attractive girls gain subscribers faster than better channels run by guys?

For that matter, are we suggesting girls DON'T use YouTube?

Looking at the top 50 most viewed channels for last week, I don't see any pattern of women having an advantage over men. Several of these channels don't even have people in them, just a pair of hands playing with toys. So having a pair of hands makes it easier to be successful on YouTube, definitely.

well if I had boobs I'd use it to take over the world and get what I want but people don't want man boobs =[
I love girls on youtube but what I don't get is for example 1 girl 30 vids not really that interesting content (I even suffer with uninteresting content) then get tons and tons of subs[DOUBLEPOST=1423809647,1423809499][/DOUBLEPOST]I got Jenna marbles confused with Jenna Jameson

A woman can quickly grab men's attention. HOWEVER, serious viewers (people who are looking for quality) will complain if the woman is only using her looks as substance while failing to quality content.

It is much easier for good looking girls.

Why? Because we all love to watch beautiful girls.

I know guys why can watch make up videos, not because they give a s**t about make up but they just want to watch a girl.

It seems that as far as gaining subscriptions and views, young girls or attractive girls on YouTube have the advantage over others. They gain subscribers quickly if their videos are half way decent as apposed to men.

Has anyone else noticed this? I haven't even been a part of YTtalk very long and even noticed it on here. Girls with avatars of themselves that are somewhat attractive get more responses on their "Introduce Yourself" threads and on other threads and topics.

Does anyone else think they have an advantage? I'm not trying to start some kind of argument. Maybe I'm noticing something that isn't there, but to me, it seems the good looking young girls gain more traction more easily...

Tell me what you think!

Somewhat I think it really is an advantage for them to grow faster but it is also a disadvantage for girls that shows their faces on the internet.
You do not know what kind of subscribers you're getting on your channel.

Not sure if yall heard of Magibon. Her videos got viral for just starting at the camera looking and smiling. Not talking at all.
And most of her viewers are old perv man, according to TheFinebros (Who knows what they're doing behind their screens urk)

For me, I would like to think that my viewers like my videos because of my content and not because I am a girl.

In my experience on YouTube it's been very much the opposite.
I follow a tonne of small vloggers, and the young males gain subscribers a whole lot faster than the girls.
Because the large percentage of viewers of these videos are female, it makes sense they'd want a boy 'to fangirl'/obsess over.
