Is it alright to abandon a Let's Play?

I starting playing Portal (the first one) but the views are like... 5... ever.

It's an older game and may not be so fun to watch. I have a lot left to go before the game is complete.
I'm not sure if I want to put the effort of editing and commentary if there's no results.

I have many other Let's Plays going,
Would it be wrong to stop one?

Thanks guys

I don't think that's wrong. If your audience is not necessarily interested then you should focus your attention on things they like. Ask for their opinion on what they want :)

I recently had to quit my LP of Cry of Fear, a horror game. I was kind of getting bored with the whole game, the story is just meh and it is full of cheap jumpscares...which I fell for many times :P not the point! I was also in a situation with no health, and very low ammo and had to fight multiple enemies. Basically, I was screwed, and I had no back up saves and I didn't feel like replaying the whole game to the part where I was. So...I just quit, and moved on to a different game, Alan Wake, which I am LOVING btw.

So yea, by the end of the day, your channel IS STILL your channel do whatever you want with it :)

My buddy was thinking the same thing a few weeks ago. He was thinking of just ending his LPs because he gets pretty low views. However, I convinced him to keep going. As for you, I'd say whatever you're feeling in your gut is the right decision. :)

I've been doing a series with a friend on Half-Life 2 using the Synergy Mod, and it only ever gets between 5-10 views if I'm lucky. But that's not the point, we were going to play it anyway, so why not record and upload to your youtube archive? What you need to remember is that overtime, the views will gradually climb and may even strike it lucky if another Portal game is released. The more videos you make for your channel, the more views overall!

I have abandoned a few LP's , but not because of the views. It was because I didn't have fun playing them anymore and that will show.

Also, properly tag your videos and always max them out! :)

As Portal is a short game, you can try to finish it. If you really don't want to, ask the people who follows you what they think about you dropping the game. You can always try to play it again later when your channel will be bigger, as a speed walkthrough as you'll already know the game.

Well, I'm sure it's fine if a game gets boring ._.
