It shouldn't affect anything as long as you have it aligned in the slot. One of my 10 year old cards has the same issue and I got it to work again by filing down the metal a bit-it was just a corrosion issue and there wasn't good enough contact to get voltage into the card.

calm down its bad but it could be worst.. it always could.. like my pc i need to get it repaird cuz whenever i try to render a vid it just shuts off from overheating .. otherwise it can catch on fire.. so i have to save up some money so i can fix it and keep uploading i havent uploaded for 2 weeks !! and i just had tons of new lets plays and gmv's x_x
 
I have a couple cards that have stopped being recognized when I insert them into the card slot on the computer. I will try the light sanding too =)
 
the thumb nail to your current video man! its so depressing but first the video too well! lol hope you get it all sorted mang

My laptop does that when I try to play Minecraft. Would be funny if it caught on fire right when I fall into lava though.

xD well my pc had smoke comming out of it XD almost fire !! i was like .. holy s**t and i was recording an episode as well while it had fire with facecam !! i pointed the facecam and all that if i could have posted it it would have been realy funny XDD ..R.I.P old Pc,, you are missed !

you'll be fine :)
you could create a short video on just like windows movie maker or imovie or whatever you use to just post a message that you know you were supposed to post a video, but your memory card broke and so it's gonna be late :) its very considerate and im sure they'll understand. especially if you take the time to make a video message for them.

and by video message i mean just words on a screen that they can read :)
