If I upload more will I gain more views and subscribers?

I honestly am not a patient person in life. But for YouTube I am. Tbh 5 views makes me happy as long as there is one like at the end of the day and none of my 11 subs are sub4sub. I just want to know if I upload more will I have a better success rate in the future. Thanks in advance for any information! :D
 
there's always the saying that you should go by, quality over quantity. I've been around for about 3 years now with only 12k subs so it will take awhile to get noticed especially since we're gaming channels and its pretty much a over saturated field at this point.
 
Quality over quantity, sure, but a quality of quantity (haha) is frequency of uploads and some picky viewers might be more likely to subscribe if they see you post frequently. Also, more videos means more chances of them coming up in searches, as long as they aren't identical, and more chances to promote them (which beats promoting the same video over and over).

I didn't watch the whole thing of your most recent video, mainly because I haven't played either Dark Souls games and am not looking to, but it seemed pretty informative. You might want to try out letsplayforum.net.
 
Nope, you won't. You need to stay active sure, but to bombard subscribers with a video in their feed every day will make them unsubscribe real quick. I found that once I started uploading less I actually grew faster. Weird how that went, but it's the truth.
 
Well, Ive been uploading daily for some time, and I believe I have realized a thing alright.

It is mostly about your quality, and the games you pick that decides whether or not you get views. Uploading constantly may even be a downfall if you dont get good responses, due to YouTube algorithms and stuffs
 
Quality>Quantity. I started about 1 year ago and I thought if i was consistent and posted a video everyday that was different it would bring in the people. I was doing 3-4 letsplays alternating everyday with a compilation/special video on wednesday and a vlog on friday. I thought it was fine, but I realized it really wasn't doing much for me. I was making a lot of videos, but nothing I was willing to show anybody and say, "Hey! I have an awesome channel check out this video" Instead I had a lot of "no don't look at that one it's not that great -skips lots of videos to a specific one or two- yeah watch that one."

In the end I'm trying really hard to enjoy myself while I make the video so that the quality will shine through. It's still a bit difficult to balance my own enjoyment vs the audiences' entertainment, but if I get there I think I'll be able to make videos of w/e I want and still be enjoyable to watch.

HOWEVER! It is good to have a sort of library of videos. I have over 100 (too much I think for the time I've been active), but interestingly enough the letsplays that I thought weren't so great get views once in awhile and people even that let me know they enjoyed the entire thing. So having more videos does increase your exposure to some degree.

Anyways aim for quality first before you go for quantity. If you happen to have done both then go ahead!
 
For me personally I prefer a channel that uploads about once (or twice) a week. That way I actually look forward to their next video. When people upload every day I get behind on busy weeks/months and I tend to be less interested to get back on track with their videos...
 
I don't know.
I always wish my favorite YouTuber's would upload more frequently.

One of my favorite channels have had months and weeks of droughts the past two years, and it's a bit annoying.
 
Speaking from experience; if you are making QUALITY videos and putting them out everyday (or every other day) then you will grow. But uploading 1-2 poorly done videos will do nothing for you but waste your time. I tend to put out a video every other day, but the longer between videos; the more interaction I get.
