I think I've been botted?

Yeah, I know, all I could think was "thank god the video wasn't monetised" fortunately, R* prohibit monetisation anyways so I couldn't monetise if I wanted to. I'm not advertising for money reasons either, was just for exposure, seems I got a little more than what I paid/bargained for :( I keep telling myself that adwords is working but I don't think Google would work that hard for $5 over a 14 day period.
If you sign into adwords.google.com, you can see the exact amount of views your ads have driven in real time. (not that 2 day delay bs on YouTube lol)

Well in that case I think it's safe to assume I've been botted then, it says 0 views for the 2nd campaign. Oddly enough it says 85 views (463 impressions?) for the first campaign even though the stats above say otherwise.... So what do I need to do to get the false views removed without removing the views I actually paid for? Or without removing the video?

I have no idea. I think adwords should be real time (honestly, I am not 100% sure, but I think it is). YouTube analytics may be behind, but it should not be incorrect even if it was botted. The views would show up as from some weird website source, not adwords.

Hmmm true, YouTube advertising is it's own thing, maybe AdWords takes time to update too, I wouldn't put it past Google. Well it's sort of a releif, I guess the 467 views are legit at least.[DOUBLEPOST=1391037016,1390969982][/DOUBLEPOST]Okay, so Google AdWords has updated but analytics hasn't....

Well that is where the views came from. You need to set a max per day. I don't know if they will charge you that...

I bloody hope not, I did set a max per day. But the budget was set to $5 when I started the campaign. If they charge me more I'm gonna have to find a way to contact them. $5 for 6000 views is damn good value since I paid $10 for 500 before. But $150 I can't afford. So I end up with relief only to end up worrying about the cost now -.- go figure lol Ohaple will know though, hopefully it's just them saying that $150 is the value I got not what I'm paying for. EDIT: I think there was a max per view sorry. Either way, the campaign should have ended when the budget was exceeded, that being $5...

lol what? Thats epic! Mine has never gone over, but I am now thinking of setting it to a really wide audience then putting the max bid per view really high and the budget really low.... :)

I followed this: yttalk.com/threads/how-to-get-subs-fast-through-ad-campaigns.104497/ but I actually had a narrow audience according to AdWords. I think targeting an audience outside of gaming might damage the retention and thus the actual views. But it's up to you. The first campaign I did cost $10 and only got me 500 but that's just running it, I did nothing really, except change the regions and added 3 category things. The fact the retention was nice and high for the video when I ran the first campaign made it worth it alone. But I have to wait for this analytics to update -.- Today has been a good day lol
