I just got flagged for "Community Guideline"???

Yes eventually I will. But just for the sake of argument. ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1349896211,1349895637][/DOUBLEPOST]
Okay, I agree with you, but not entirely. Okay, just for argument sake. Right now I thinking this very rationally.
I am guessing you understand the rules applied to Copyright Infringement and content ID. If a person does not register his claim to his property the item remains to any person living. Let's just put it this way, you buy a car but don't register for it, until and unless you register the car, you cannot claim it to be yours. Now a person gets in your car, drives it away, and he can claim it's his, can you justify this? Can you go make a claim that THAT CAR belongs to you? That's the reason almost all the movies and music has copyrights. Unless and until you do not have a video copyrighted to your name, it belongs to any person living.

If material is not copyrighted and you still upload without giving credits to the maker you're a thief like in your example. When something is not yours you should not upload it to youtube where you agree with the guidelines that say You only upload your material.
Too put it in a rough way (No hard feelings), but you're not the victim here. You upload material that's your and isn't family friendly so you take the beating for it. The other people with the video will follow sooner or later.

Okay, let's just say this is my material. I've uploaded my own video. Where do I register it?
You need to understand something. The person who made this video doesn't care. He probably wanted it going public. If he didn't, and is really possessive about his video, I am sure he would consider registering it to his name. I can hardly be considered a thief if I am using public property. It's not like I am driving someone's car away, I am traveling in public transport. :)

If it's your videos you can flag all the people who copies your videos and youtube will takes them down. You can monetize your own videos without any problem (Sometimes youtube still disables it). As long your video has the date before the copies you have a good right to take those other videos down.

The video which I had on was "Killer Whale Eats Man". There are tons of this same video all over Youtube and I get flagged by a jealous person for inappropriate content?
So basically if someone hates you for some reason he could bring your channel crashing down with ease by just flagging all your videos with the same reason. My question is, how do one avoid such jealousy? The thing which angered me the most is, quite a few of them had the same video and I am the one who was flagged for inappropriate video?

Also, I do not find the video disturbing or gruesome.
could that be the problem though? Is this just someone else's video you uploaded to your own channel?

Or is this a similar video you made?

Are you sure about this? I cannot prove it's my video. Nobody can prove it's theirs.
Oh, my bad, let me make something clear. This video does not exist just on Youtube. I've got this from another site and I've seen countless of the same videos on Youtube.[DOUBLEPOST=1349900928,1349898453][/DOUBLEPOST]
Well why don't you file a complaint against the flagging if you think it's not against the rules. Some youtube employee will take a look at the video and put a age limit on the video. This was happend to me once.
Can you please guide me as to where I can file a complain again the flagging? Thanks!!!

Well you need to have some proof. Mostly your face in the video or your voice in the video should be enough, if you can proof it's your voice/face. Youtube takes copyright very seriously. Don't really know how it works, but when you can proof it's your material you always have a good point at Google. Otherwise too bad.

If i'm correctly you received a mail from youtube your video was flagged and I also should contain a link the repeal the flagging. Never click on I acknowledge when you think it isn't right.

Okay, let's skip the copyright issue at hand. The main problem lies in false flagging for appropriate content. I'd like to know where I can file a complain against the flagger.

In the US and most other countries, registering a work for copyright IS NOT REQUIRED. All works are protected by copyright automatically.
This video isn't yours.

Okay, let's just say this is my material.

But, it's not. I'm not watching the video, but it does sound like something is against YouTube's terms. Then there's the little fact that it's not your video. As it's been said, I would let it go.

When did I say it's MINE?[DOUBLEPOST=1349907879,1349907837][/DOUBLEPOST]
