Well I will send out tweets about you.. I will say please go watch pawtaytoe if you don't somewhere a puppy will die. Hopfully people believe it and will go to yrou channel.

I do promote my own stuff but by giving people the choice to come to my channel and subscribe. I want people to actually want to watch my stuff than just subscribing.
Yeah it gets difficult when you see other channels doing slightly better than your own but you just have to push that to the side and carry on at your own pace, i do get the urge sometimes to just go to massive channels and promote to hell!!!
I would love to have constant subs and views on all my videos but it's not going to happen straight away.
So yeah...
 
I hate self promotion, just seems incredibly arrogant to me. But like you guys say, if there is something you are particularly proud of, it seems to be easier to put that to one side. I guess the difference would be promoting just for views vs promoting because you think people would enjoy your new content :)
 
Well tate..there are many ways of doing it. Personally, I have never done the message deed where I go hey, you might like this..check my vidayo out like now yolo..lolo..lala..nothing like that...I think what you need to do is think of a way to reach people without going..OMG CHECK MY VIDEO NOW!...:P
 
I don't promote my channel too. I just comment like a bot to popular videos in youtube but in my first 2 months i promoted myself, i tell them to check my channel and videos but i don't do it anymore because i also don't want to sound desperate.
 
I won't say hate, as theres nothing I truly hate. I'd say I don't like self promotion as I think theres better ways of doing it. I've never done anything to promote myself directly to others, I might have created a million social media pages and put my name across 50 pages of Google, but nothing else. I've never even asked anyone to directly watch my videos, think the closest to that is saying feel free to watch them. Its just not in my nature to do that, and I've probably been suffering for it over the past year.

I'd much prefer people to talk with each other and share ideas to expand an audience, rather than spamming videos with "Watch me, I'm different to everyone else". Theres always a better way, some people just need to see that :)
Everyone is free to do this in anyway they want personally, but I'm that guy flagging all these comments...
