I hate editing

i really like making and uploading videos but the editing is so bad, i think it's partially due to the fact that all i have is movie maker and i cant do a lot. If anyone knows of something free or maybe less than $10 for editing could you please leave a link or something? Thanks!
 
Editing is really one of the worst parts for me...just try to keep looking towards the end goal :cool:
 
Look up Lightworks, it was the first one I used before moving onto the Adobe products. its free and has a lot of features that not a lot of free editing softwares have! I hope this helped!
 
Hitfilm express 3 is a great FREE program very similar to premiere pro and that is what I highly recommend, for me editing is so much fun because that is really where my videos start to form :-)
 
save your money $10 will not buy you a good video editing software, Here is what i found after research in a blog.



1. Windows Movie Maker
Windows Movie Maker is a free video editing tool for Windows and users can make home movies by simple drag-and-drop. It contains features such as video effects, video transitions, adding titles/credits, audio track, timeline narration, and Auto Movie. What's more, new effects and transitions can be added and existing ones can be modified using XML code.

2. VirtualDub
VirtualDub is a powerful free video editing software for Windows with many amazing features, such as compression, video splitting, and the addition of audio tracks. As a free movie editing software, it has batch-processing capabilities for dealing with large numbers of files and can be extended with third-party video filters.

3. Wax
Wax is a high performance and flexible video editing program which is good for both home users and professionals. It can be used as a stand-alone application, or as a plug-in to other video editors.

However, its video editing functions are quite limited. If you want more advanced video editing features like Mosaic, Jump Cut, Flashhold, or need more transitional effects, picture-in-picture, titles, sound effects, you can turn to Wondershare Filmora (originally Wondershare Video Editor) software, which make your video go to the next level.

4. Avidemux
Avidemux is a free video editor designed for simple cutting, filtering and encoding tasks. It supports various file types, including AVI, DVD compatible MPEG files, MP4 and ASF, using a variety of codecs.

5. ZS4 Video Editor
ZS4 Video Editor is another great free video editing and compositing software that provides media experts with a facility to combine photos, videos and audio files into one or more output files.

6. Lightworks
Lightworks is a great free video editor featured with many video effects. It can edit up to 256 video, audio, and still image clips. But the user interface is very technical so many people find it hard to use.

They are all free video editing software.
 
DaVinci Resolve has editing built into it now

Wasn't there something dodgy in the terms a while ago about HitFilm owning all footage you edited with their app?
 
I know, for some people, editing can be an unbearable venture. I was using Movie Maker up until a while ago. Lightworks is pretty good if you aren't going to grab any Adobe products for a while.

He's right! Move towards what you want to accomplish!
 
Editing was one of the main attractions to me for making videos but I guess everyone has their own preferences.
When I first started my channel I used the YouTube Video Editor. It could be frustrating at times and very basic but it done the job (eventually).
 
One of the reasons I started my YouTube channel was to force myself to learn how to edit videos :) I use Final Cut Pro for everything. Haven't tried much else because I really don't have the time.
