I almost CHEATED!!

F*CKINGENIOUS

Movie freaks unite!
In a moment of weakness I almost cheated on YouTube to get views. I took a deep breath and it passed, whew, that was a close one. I'm still a fairly new channel (only a few months actually), but I am about to complete my 100th video and I feel I should have made a bigger splash than I have. Don't get me wrong, i'm not expecting tons of views and subs in such a short amount of time, but 98 videos and like 30 subs... damn my videos must suck. lol But I made the choice to just continue sucking rather than cheat so at least I can fail with honor. It would have back fired on me anyway.
Has anyone else been tempted to cheat YouTube?

Glad you didn't cheat, but shame on you, thinking about cheating is just wrong. Youtube is a hobby if you don't like it than you better should stop it right now.

Been tempted in the past when I wasn't really serious about youtube, but most of these methods are either scams, or won't work effectively. If they worked, wouldn't everyone be using it?

lol Hey I'm only human, but in all honest I love what I'm doing, and I've always preached the same philosophy as you just stated, turns out that I care more about gaining subs and views than I thought, I'll continue on and I'm sure I'll build an audience in time. I know it just takes time, and effort and that I'm being really impatient. But I thought it would be good to be open and honest about it and get a discussion going.

If you're going to cheat on YouTube, obviously your doing it for the fame/popularity. YouTube is about having fun. If your having fun, then views/subs won't matter.
I have been making videos since November 2012, and have uploaded 95 videos. I only have 36 subs and 5700 views. Thats not going to stop me from continuing to create videos, but no way would I ever think about cheating my way to get views or subs.

Indeed my new videos don't get that much views in the begin but will get some later on, but I love to make videos just because I like to do it.
