I almost CHEATED!!

I think your videos are good, plus they look super professional and as if you were in a real studio making stuff happen, even though it's actually just your green screen. However, have you ever considered your videos might be a little bit too long? I understand you have a lot to say about one thing or the other, plus all that movie footage, but isn't there any way to make it a bit shorter? I hate to admit it, but people do look at the time a lot before they even click your video. I see that on myself and also some people I know, I've watched them while they're on their computer and on youtube. Every time they see a 10+ minute video, they go "ah well that's too damn long! who's gonna watch that? better just move on."
Just trying to give a little bit of advice here.

shame on you for considering the easy way.....
lol I do feel ashamed but at the same time at least I had the courage to admit to it.[DOUBLEPOST=1358798420,1358798353][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes I understand. And yes I agree my videos tend to be too long. I'll work on that, thank You.[DOUBLEPOST=1358798751][/DOUBLEPOST]Hey thanks to everyone for the advice! I appreciate it and will work to make my content better and more watchable without having to try and cheat the system.

In a moment of weakness I almost cheated on YouTube to get views. I took a deep breath and it passed, whew, that was a close one. I'm still a fairly new channel (only a few months actually), but I am about to complete my 100th video and I feel I should have made a bigger splash than I have. Don't get me wrong, i'm not expecting tons of views and subs in such a short amount of time, but 98 videos and like 30 subs... damn my videos must suck. lol But I made the choice to just continue sucking rather than cheat so at least I can fail with honor. It would have back fired on me anyway.
Has anyone else been tempted to cheat YouTube?

I am glad you didn't go down to the dark side!!

Let me share a li'l story with you lol. Before the channel I have now (which has gained 181 subs and nearly 3k views in less than 1 month) I had a channel that was identical. Same games, same commentary. But I gained a few hundred views and 31 subs in nearly a YEAR.

Your videos don't suck. You just need to get out there. Make friends with likeminded YouTubers. I've had so much help from the wonderful people on this forum, offering me promos and spotlights and whatnot. I'd still be on 22 subs (the number I was at just over 2 weeks ago!!!) if it wasn't for them.

i never did it, but i think a lot people are cheating with youtube views recently. they push their video views and then a lot normal people will see the video.

You could also try promoting your videos on movie related sites. At least that is a legitimate way to get noticed. ;)
