How to make the background more appealing?

As for your wall - who do you mostly cover songs from? Perhaps one or two framed (and blown up for the sake of the camera) album covers could be a nice touch - as well as something flattering if you have company over!

I'll be covering a wide variety of artists so I don't know if that'll be a good idea... Maybe an really well know artist like Stevie Wonder?

I was talking to someone about lighting and he said that this will be better for me..

2 x Continuous Lighting Kit 50x70cm Softbox Soft Box Photo Studio Set Light Bulbs Lamp 5500K 135W Photography 50 x 70 cm Softboxes UK Plug

I cant show you the link..

No need - I was able to google it! That's a perfect rig. 2 point lighting is really all you need to start (and can really fill up a small room - space wise). I'm not quite sure if the one I saw for 60 is a good price (I'm not too up on my conversions) but it does look like a quality set!

The best part about decorating is that it should suit your tastes first and foremost. Don't look at this as trying to please a potential audience, look at it as a chance to bring some happiness into your surroundings with something that you really connect with.

Your audience will appreciate that genuineness!

The lighting will make a huge difference. When you add the 5500k lights it will help the orange from bleeding onto you.

So I guess I have to save up for the 5500k lights then?

You should buy a green fabric sheet and green screen the background to make it really cool!

I think Im gonna try and get the lights first, but ty for the suggestion! :D[DOUBLEPOST=1376662769,1376662637][/DOUBLEPOST]

Last suggestion:

5400K CN-160 LED video light Lampe for Nikon Canon DSLR Camera DV Camcorder UK

What about this one? It's £28

Those little LED lamps are great if you have a camera in the field and there's very little light, but for something that's in your house those lights can be a little aggressive. The soft boxes will fill you with light without peaking (making white spots that make you look like a sweaty mess).[DOUBLEPOST=1376663610,1376663359][/DOUBLEPOST]I'm also speaking as someone who shoots with a Canon 60D (I think it's the 600D outside of America for some reason) with a DIY CFL strip I made myself and I've used those LED lamps on occasion, and I feel it just makes me look terrible in comparison. (Though with no way to soften the light from my unidirectional striplight, I'm not much better)

I've been playing with green screen as a background. It's great if you need to create a nice environment in some where less than desirable. It requires a lot of lightning though.

You also need a lot of lightning if you don't have any plutonium and need to power the flux capacitor!
