How to make the background more appealing?

I didn't know what forum I should of added this too, but its the closest one to it.

I'm doing cover videos, and I wanna decorate a certain wall in my room so when I'm recording, there's something to look at.
Any ideas..?

I cant put anything too busy cause it'll take away from the singing.

I can take a picture if needed

Do you have a painted wall in your room? Sometimes the simplicity of a painted wall can add a lot of production value.

I'd also suggest shooting at a quiet corner of a local park (if your instrument is mobile). Let nature create the backdrop!

Yeah I've got a painted wall. It's kind of a cream... yellow colour. I have recording equipment as well and I'm looking for a soft box for lighting now. So I don't really want to go outdoors.

Sometimes a nicely painted wall is enough. If you can get out, I would try and film in an interesting place.

As for your wall - who do you mostly cover songs from? Perhaps one or two framed (and blown up for the sake of the camera) album covers could be a nice touch - as well as something flattering if you have company over!
