When you make a new image, in the dialogue box where you choose you dimensions, click the advanced options box. Change the 72.000 to 300.000 in both the Y and X resolutions.

If you set the dpi to 300 you should.

for web you need 72 dpi not 300. you can do 300 but that only for printing. so 72 dpi for web that more than enough..

Yeah set your dpi (resolution) to 300, and make sure you get the exact size requirements. Also try using gimp, its a free download and almost as good as photoshop.

It's just one of the things that could help with the problem. Because 72dpi should be enough. But it's not for some reason in this case.
