Friends, friends and friends are your choice of promotion when you are starting up. Too bad YouTube is banned in quite a few parts of the middle-east so I can't ask any of my friends back there to help out because that was where I began my music so I'm stumped until the ban gets lifted and it's been 4 months already that the ban has been implemented there.

This is going to sound really simple and silly but it's very true... it's what took me from 2k subs to 6k and the answer is simply... ASK!
In your video, ask people to subscribe! By asking people who watch your videos to subscribe you will gain subscribers. When they subscribe if they have their YT attached to their other social media accounts, their friends will subscribe, so on and so forth.
Also, make clif hanger videos... by doing this the viewer is anxious to find out what happens next... this is when you ask them to "subscribe" so when you post up the next video they will be notified and they can see what happens 0__0
