I recommend doing this myself, they're very targeted groups forums, the issue most people face though is many wont allow just signing up and posting videos as its considered advertising on most and if you aren't a part of their community before posting such stuff they might not appreciate it. Still though if you participate and perhaps keep a link to your channel in your signature youre building backlinks to your channel as you post which on some forums is really valuable.

Like michael said, most of the forums doesnt allow spam or advertising. You just need to put your channel in your signature then you will have subs.

Nice advice. Putting your content into an area designed for it rather than preaching to the masses also gets you a better quality of subscriber too. People who really want to see what you have to offer.

I do a wide varity of things, I do gaming (mostly), Animation, and I am thinking of trying my hand at vlogging. I am hoping I receive a wide varity of audiences, so I haven't really 'settled down' on a specific one yet. But yes, do what the orginal
Post said, look for relevant topics to your channel, no sub 4 subbing, or buying YouTube views/subs.
