How to get more active subscribers?

So our channel does have 400+ subscribers but the fact is that we need to do a BUMP on them, make them more active or get some new active ones... We're not sure how and we are desperate for it.
 
Ask them questions to answer in your video, respond to all their comments, messages, etc. Acknowledge that they exist.

Active subscribers will come with time, and growth.

Bumping them can certainly be hard. Having a subscriber doesn't even guarantee that you will be in their feed anymore.
If you are appearing in their feed, then all you can do is try and attract them. Remember, just because they are subbed doesn't mean it guarantees a view. You are still trying to sell them content. They are picking between you and people like TomSka, Freddiew, PewDiePie.
I would suggest putting in extra effort into your thumbnails and titles. That may bump them to pay a bit more attention to you :-)

If you are looking for likes and comments, ask questions, do things that other people can give their opinion on. Or maybe even ask for it at the end of videos. The call to action method is more effective than you think :-)
 
It's hard, I can tell you. I have 89k subscribers and my videos only get 5k views, it's really painful to watch. I guess you just need to try and post something that catches the eye.
