How to get more active subscribers?

I think its also about what your subs are interested in since a portion of my subs prefer RTS games another prefer family friendly games and another prefer fighting games. So if all your subs were from RTS games then don't expect many views when you upload a fighting game but then upload an RTS game vid and you'll get alot of views, of course depending on how many subs you got for example only about 500 of my 20k subs actually watch new vids and that seems to be the trend with subs. Look at big channels like pewdiepie 20M+ subs but 'only' gets about 2M views per new vid so thats 18M not clicking on the vid.[DOUBLEPOST=1392578455,1392578304][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yeah i bet it's hard with all the competition but then again there are channels which joined in '07 and still don't have a tremendous amount of views. Its all about gaining a market. Look at the syndicate project, he got a successful game COD and made zombies videos, not many channels focused on zombies so he got that market, then of course he got alot of subs and started to do minecraft which since he had alot of subs also watched them vids, made them popular and climb in the search engines and gained more views since it is a popular game. My personal market was Assassins creed which is a popular game now but didn't have alot of vids on 3 years ago.
 
That's true dude. I mean I guess I'm gonna wait for a new game to come out and make videos on it, it may be our personal market.. Thanks for sharing all the stuff man.
 
Wow thats so true dude...People subscribe without even watching their content. But are you saying I should play other games aswell? Cause im going to start posting Dota 2 content.
 
I think he's trying to say try to make something new and not that much popular on youtube, like try to be the first one to make videos on an upcoming game (kinda not possible because there will be tons of trailers and stuff), but you could still do a walkthrough on it.. I think I get the point from now on :)
 
Ok so Im going to try reviewing or doing First Looks on unpopular games such as...Warface or such. You want to be the first few or first to play a game on youtube so you are the first to be watched I guess thats what im trying to understand.

You don't HAVE to play other games. I mean look at skydoesminecraft. He doesn't play other games. If you get alot of views on dota 2 then that's cool as long as you enjoy the game.
 
You just have to make that one video that sort of goes viral such as on my channel if you see "how to get a screen reorder for ipad" has 1.1k views and splashy birds has 900 views and in comparison to my other gaming videos only average 20 views because i know that subs i have now want more videos like on whats the latest game or tweak out on ios 7. Now i know i have to follow up on doing more tutorials and stuff and less games unless its the latest one out. Just experiment doing different types of videos and watch your view and sub count to see what videos you get more views/subs on
