How To Get 100 Subscribers?!?

Any advice on an intro banner? I have an outro one I've always used. I reply to pretty much every (positive) comment and ignore the negative. I try to maintain quality as best I can. I have 68 subs, shooting for 500 at the moment. I generally use something weird, funny, or quirky from Google that's related to the video as a thumbnail. Something that makes them go "What? I gotta see this".
Outro doesn't matter Intro needs to be short and catchy :). Longer then 3 seconds will lead to viewers clicking away. Good you think about the Thumbnails, and try to think like a 'passer-by'. Would some random person click on your thumbnail? Those thoughts are one of the reasons why people are watching your videos and get the traction you have now. Having almost 10K views in 4 months isn't bad.
I've always wondered if I should get Photoshop. I've used the Gimp for as long as I can remember, at I've heard it's basically just as good.
I use GIMP all the way and I kinda love it.

Easy. My face is in there. :)
You will get 1 million subs within 2 months with it :D

I am only 2 away from 100, but its taken me month, I think my down points have been only one video a week

Thanks. Whoah, it doesn't seem like it's been four months. I didn't upload for about a month here recently, but being around WiFi has changed that. Hoping to break 10k views and 70 subs today. Am I correct in my understanding that at 500 subs I can choose my own custom URL instead of the crappy one Google is currently offering? The one they have is looong and includes my channel name and actual name. They need to just leave YouTube the way it was when I was on my old channel.

Only issue I have with gimp is the separate windows for the tools and navigation. It wasn't so bad on the version on my old computer, but this newer one is like a maze. I just got Photoshop CC today, so gonna actually try to master it instead of just picking up tricks here and there. Also got Adobe Premiere to go with the After Effects I've had for a long time (which I have left neglected in favor of the easier to use Sony Vegas) and I'm gonna try learning those as well. I want to get into green screens at some point also.

Off course, Adobe PS is much better and compleater (and easier to use) than GIMP. But I'm a cheapskate so I use GIMP, which is an acceptable alternative.

yes you can get your custom URL when reaching 500 subs (and some other minor requirements). I feel there's no real difference, since for both adresses you're copy-pasting anyway :P.

I thought we could always setup a custom url? : O did they change that recently? x_x I feel lucky that I made this account a year or so ago, if that's the case.. =/
Since 2015 I guess....

And we got the stupid /c/ version.
You have the neat /user/ version.

I have both URL versions?! I have another one that is a /c/, but they let me pick it sometime around this past February when I had around 6 subscribers.. It doesn't seem to work with YTtalk, for some reason.. =/ It's kind of messed up that they don't let everyone have a URL now.. =(

I understand the logic behind it.

But I still don't know why it was still hard to get a proper channel name after I met the requirements.
