How to deal with haters

It's easy to give in and fight back against these jerks... much more difficult to let it go and carry on. But in the long run, your channel's reputation will be better off because you simply remained silent, and let your future, improved videos do the talking.

I definitely do not encourage anybody to fight back against the jerks. You can't win. Not only can they wreak havoc on your channel but they can also start attacking your regular participants. That could cause them to not want to comment.

Delete, block, goodbye.

I agree with the haters thing. On one hand it may be better to not react and provoke more hate on yourself and others, but who would want to have all of that negative around?

I tend to do the opposite as often as I can. I'm not talking about the idiots that are commenting like the example mentioned. I mean the ones hating because of a reason you can identify then take advantage of with a good reply. I tend to find it entertaining.

Latest example is a guy that wasn't happy about seeing himself raided in a video. I could delete it, or comment but not ignore it. I insta clicked remove; however, it dawned on me how often I don't have a chance to check all the comments. So, I tried to solve the problem instead of ignoring it.

I made it clear that not only does it not bother me, that I get humor out of it. I give it a like and a funny reply. The funny reply is a must. You have to mock in a way that is not too distasteful but still stings. Example from Sunday's video:

"Wow kiss Phinal 's a** more why don't ya? You can show raids of KOD all day, in the end you will see who's on top. Thanks for the shield by the way."

-My Reply "Is some one a bit sore? I'll be gentle next time I promise."

-Sub? Reply "the butthurt is strong in this one"

No more from this person. I found this to be a great tactic in forums as well at times. Giving them favor which is like cash here, and a quick retort as simple as, "You're Fabulous!!!"

Doing the complete opposite of what is expected works quite well when you know what that opposite is. Now it is situational and only comes in handy occasionally. But it's fun as hell when it does, and that's what YT is all about for me.

That is a good example for your channel for that situation.
I am likely to pass on that exchange. I'm not sure if I would delete it.
I would not block that person.[DOUBLEPOST=1384225360,1384225320][/DOUBLEPOST]
Doesn't it help increase video interaction if you comment back and forth with them? xD Similar to how @SandSeven7 said

A few comments aren't going to make enough of a difference.

You're right about not blocking that person either way. It's very situational and risky to comment back.

However, if I stop playing and acting like a kid, I'll lose a crucial aspect of my channel. It's a balancing act for me. To keep it informational based is most important, but the fact that I'll jump and scream and do the, "Spirit Mage" dance is keeping me in touch with the younger demographics who are driving my comments up gaining a larger audience through youtube searches. Or I'm way off. I'm still new to this. :)

I guess the thing I'm trying to say is know your audience and how they see you. I'm not trying to drive up my video interaction with this. I'm staying in character.

Well stated. My regular viewers know what is acceptable and what is not. You state that you are staying in character. That is the authenticity that is your channel.

That is a very good point. Thanks for bringing that up! You pretty much changed my ideology on dealing with haters.
