Hey guys, lately i see a lot big youtubers and instagramers putting a lot of emphasis in their snapchat profile/activity,and i was wondering, must be really big if half internet share it . But the fact that your allowed to upload just 10 seconds/or so videos,is kind of a pain in the a** , don t you think?
one thing is to post a photo ,another thing is to upload a video during the day after no "pre workout" if you know what i mean.. If you re a blogger and you decide to log the entire day it s ok because you re already in the mindset of vlogging,so you can act and be funny al the times during the video, but on snapchat...
let s say for instance that you had a pretty normal morning routine, done your staff, but had a quite day,are you gonna be able to start acting in front of a camera for several seconds trying to be interesting from one second to another..? i can't tell,i just find snapchat pretty pointless for a youtuber who has to be in the character all the time in front of a camera..
but the point of the thread still remain the same.. how relevant is in your opinion..!??

I don't really think Snapchat is good for growing an audience, I just think it's a fun thing to have. A lot of YouTubers prefer to do ten second Snapchat story updates rather than tweet about it, and I would say that it's starting to look like a lot more of the younger audiences are using Snapchat rather than Twitter, which is why people are turning to Snapchat to update their viewers.

I wouldn't say Snapchat is a good tool for growth, though.

I personally don't see the appeal at all but I think that I'm too old for their target demo now. A lot of younger people are pushing it a lot but I honestly don't care at all about seeing every moment of your life broadcast through your phone.

i dont think its a way of growing an audience honestly, but its good to connect with viewers and grow a stronger bond with them when you already have an audience

I dunno about relevant or not I mean anything new like that is bound to be popular among kids and this does seem big I'm hearing a lot about it and I've even had colleagues ask me if I use it (they were in their late teens-early 20s too), but don't the things you post on there get deleted after a certain amount of time? I sort of find that kind of defeats the purpose for anything other than sharing a d**k pick or 2 which is what I commonly hear the app is associated with xD but as 1 person said, I think I'm a bit above the age demographic for it now, I still struggle to use Twitter at times and working out what some of the terms mean so I don't think I'll bother with Snapchat especially if what you post self destructs? Maybe I'm just too used to the concept of posting something and having it stay there until I delete it.

I have heard 1 YouTuber I follow say he has much better engagement on there than Twitter and has actually ditched Twitter for Snapchat. I've seen some people on Twitter actually show their Snapchat avatar/icon/symbol thing as their Twitter avatar.

Wtf just as I flip to Twitter between typing this:

Bethesda do this on Twitter too.

well the fact that Dan Bilzerian is even talking about snapchat it means it has become pretty relevant on the internet,i don t know if it s good or not using it for a youtube that tries to get a fan base, but for sure,at first you re not gonna get not a single follower, unless you already famous, and that s a complete different side of the story..

Snapchat is the the next generation's platform. Once upon a time, it was Facebook, and then people moved to Instagram, and now people are moving to Snapchat. Some who romantically fell in love advertising using the radio, went out of business when the television was invented. Some who capitalized on email marketing are millionaires now back when everyone opened 90% of their emails. The point is, you gotta learn to adapt. There wouldn't be 100s of millions of snapchat users if it was pointless. Instead educate yourself why lots of people are drawn to it, and how you can take advantage of it before it's too late. In some sense, Society's attention span is getting shorter so that 10 second challenges you to be persuasive and present your message in a short amount of time.

I personally recommend the app Ghostcodes. I've used it gain hundreds of followers on snapchat through it. It's really allowed me to network.

I also recommend the App for IOS called UploadnRoll. If you guys want to stay ahead of the competition, UploadnRoll allows you to upload any video or picture on your Snapchat stories. So you can edit your videos on your computer, and then upload them. This allows me to have intros and outros, and other cool effects on my snapchat stories.
