How much time do you spend on custom thumbnails?

For me, it always depends, if I have to make the thumbnail from scratch, that'd take 10-20mins. Regular thumbnails that I already have materials to make it, I usually take 10mins only.
 
I used to need around 15-30 minutes to make a thumbnail, but after playing around a bit I get mine done faster and faster. Around 5-10 minutes should get the job done now.

Anybody else experiencing this?
 
When starting a new series I'll spend as much as 20-30 minutes on the thumbnail, just to get the fonts, alignment, and colors perfect. After that I don't change much for each episode, so not more than a minute or so each.

I think you can boost your views and make your vids look a bit more professional by adding a nice thumbnail. As you can read in this thread, it hasn't be too much work at all! Just a small tip ;)
 
Being a designer, I use the same text style for branding, so all I do is color correct an image from a game and put the overlay of it. So not too long, I spend much longer creating the overlay since it's my watermark as well
