How long on average do you spend making a video?

Recording takes between 10 minutes and an hour depending on what I'm doing. Editing takes somewhere between 30 minutes and a couple of hours, again depending on what I'm doing. So the entire process would usually take between 40 minutes and 3 hours. Although there's only one video that I think actually took me 3 hours.

Mine takes anywhere from about 4 days up until 3 weeks. It's an extremely long process for us. Granted, we don't do it full time, but we do spend a significant amount of time on each video. :)

between 2 months and a year per video. leaning more towards the year.
putting in work every chance i get, so around 12 hours per day? something like that on average?

It depends from vid2vid... but the main one kind is s.thing around this

  • 15-30 mins for the idea
  • 25 up to 1.5 hrs recording
  • 30 mins up to 1 hr editing
  • 5 up to 30 mins for the thumbnail ^_^
  • 1 hr for metadatas and subtitles
  • 1 hr promotions
That's almost all :happy2:

soooo... a video takes s.thing like 3.25 up to 5.5 hrs

It all depends on what video I'm filming, I live next to a train line...the train goes past the house every 15 minutes...so then I have to stop and wait for it every time it goes past...it's so frustrating and that makes me take longer to film! But I usually have a 'filming day' all day I film lots of videos usually 3/4/5 videos before it goes dark, and then other days I will have an 'editing day' that's when I edit most of my videos and thumbnails...

About an hour. About 30 mins is the actual recording, then audio editing, video editing / combining, thumbnail creation, and then annotations after everything is scheduled on youtube.

2-3 hours per video depending on length of video. It would be much shorter if I had my own staff. I wonder when that will happen?
