For me, it depends how long I am recording. If I am making a multiple part uncut gameplay live commentary, I record for however long and then stop. I want to say 20-30 to a couple hours depending on what that video is going to be. If it is just a live commentary, I will spend about 10-20-30 minutes trying to gather sounds/video for the first captivating 5-15 seconds, the intro I have already placed, tweaking the audio for about 1-15 minutes, then just slightly tweak the outro for about a couple minutes to fit with the video better. For the other style I do, which are highlights, the same 10-20-30 minute captivation seeking is still there, then the going through footage to find highlights, so about 50% of the video time (skipping through the video), then audio tweaking, then fitting the outro slightly better. Then thumbnails can take from 10 minutes to about 2 hours, depending on how difficult and what I have to do for the thumbnail. Like if I had to individually mask 10 different things then combine them and mask again as one group of things, that would take longer, but one object and my usual style can take as low as 10 minutes, but averages to 20-30 minutes.
