How long do you think it will take you to reach 1 Million Subscribers?

Realistically speaking, a good few years, perhaps?

I'm optimistic that I'll get there if I continue putting the effort in and continuously improving my content. I mean, my videos in October are shocking compared to the delightfully mediocre work I'm putting out now, so who know what the future holds?

Education isn't a genre on YouTube that people will flock to watch en masse a la gaming and beauty, etc. However, it's still something that people will always need and refer to more than they probably realise. So, I hope that I can become a valuable reference to people - and most importantly, I don't plan on giving up any time soon - so maybe in a few years, I'll look back on this very post and smile to myself. Who knows, eh?
Don't under estimate the education sector. I'm a 30 year old back in college and every one of my professors has showed youtube videos in class related to the subject they were teaching. They also frequently send out emails to even more relevant YT vids they have found. If your content is top notch, I'd hit up some professors in your area.

That being said, I doubt I will hit 1 million ever. I think a lot of new channels flame out after several months if there views aren't sky rocketing like they expect. I plan to stick it out well past that, but as some point, a year, or 2 years, if you still aren't getting views, you gotta throw in the towel at some point.

Im getting like 5-10 subs a week so lets say 1 per day. So it would take 999893 days to reach 1 milion sub = 2739 years... Sooo.. In the time I reach 1 mil subs I think the new dinosaur is alive. So basicly. NEVER! But Im already happy with 107 subs :) happy with every new sub i reach :D

It took me four years to get to 1000, I'm estimated to hit 4k by the end of this year, and 15k at the very very end of 2019. So the good news is that my growth rate is increasing. xD It'll definitely be, at the absolute least, 5 years, but it's probably more realistically closer to 10 years.

Problem with my channel though is that artists don't tend to get too many subs. The highest subbed channel in my community has over a million, but he's the only one. The next highest is 500k. The majority of the rest of the more 'popular' and 'well known/established' channels are all 100k and under. (With a spare few at 200k+)

It's definitely possible, but it'll just take time. I'm not really gunning for 1 mill though, I'm not even gunning for 100k, haha. I think I'd be plenty happy at 3k, which isn't all that far away. :)

I don't expect to ever hit 1 Million Subscribers, and it's not my goal either.

I prefer short-term goals that I know I can focus on to achieve. For instance, at the moment, my goal is 5,000 subscribers because that would give me access to the London YouTube space and their facilities and that would help me out a lot. I'm half way there at the moment and am hoping to reach that number before the end of the year :)

My ultimate goal is 100,000 subscribers, but I don't expect to reach that any time soon. Maybe in the next few years, but as I said before, I'm sure after I reach 5K, I'll make myself another small but achievable goal instead and take it step by step.

1 million subscribers is simply a number I can't see a channel of my type ever reaching. But who knows!

I think some people here have calculated, so I'll do that too I guess. I've had a channel for 1441 days and have 24 subscribers. At this rate it would take me roughly 60,000,000 days, or about 160,000 years to reach 1,000,000 subscribers. Not too bad right? XD

Roughly... hmmm... 1 day. 1 light day. If this even exists. 1 light year equals a couple thousand or million normal years, who knows. So here you go, that's your answer. A couple thousand or million days.

I would celebrate my 100th birthday xD

My channel is erratic, one day I'll get no subs but another day I'll get 20, you can't ever predict youtube.

Haha. Well, at the rate I'm going, I'll probably be in my nineties by then. I'll celebrate by putting my teeth in, doing some lawn bowling if I'm still physically able to, and party until the crack of 6pm! I'm assuming YouTube will kind of be like the VHS and Atari of the internet by then. :p
