How long do you think it will take you to reach 1 Million Subscribers?

It's been 1.27 years since I started and I have 182 subscribers. I reached 10 subscribers 0.23 years after starting. Assuming the relationship between subscribers and time is exponential (which is what people usually claim. I'm too lazy to check whether or not it's an appropriate model for my growth), that gives s=10e^(2.7898(t-0.23))
Where s=subs and t=time, years

So when s=1 million, t=4.36
So it'll take me another 3 years to reach 1 million. Which seems... overly optimistic (probably because it's not actually exponential). I think it'll be more like 1000 years!

For me is impossible to reach that many lol, It would take me about 2 years to gain 100 subs, but 1M is a very very ambitious number for many of us. Probablly by the time we`d reach 1M subs, the youtube could be gone xD

Not that long for me, I calculated it and it would be about 2000. I gain about 40 subs/month and am currently at 550. So that would mean I would reach 1 million in the year 4098, looking forward to it!! :) :p
I guess I'm being a bit unfair on myself considering I'm counting an inactive 4 years in the calculation... I still think it would be thousands of years though, but I think before the year 10,000AD I should reach 1 mil. A viral video will cut a huge chunk of time out, you have to keep that in mind

At my current rate of growth I believe that it will take me somewhere in the region of 3000 years. Personally, I feel that this is a little bit too long so I am trying to figure out how to accelerate the process.

Realistically speaking, a good few years, perhaps?

I'm optimistic that I'll get there if I continue putting the effort in and continuously improving my content. I mean, my videos in October are shocking compared to the delightfully mediocre work I'm putting out now, so who know what the future holds?

Education isn't a genre on YouTube that people will flock to watch en masse a la gaming and beauty, etc. However, it's still something that people will always need and refer to more than they probably realise. So, I hope that I can become a valuable reference to people - and most importantly, I don't plan on giving up any time soon - so maybe in a few years, I'll look back on this very post and smile to myself. Who knows, eh?

About 2 months and 3 weeks more to go for our channel, according to the latest projections! The vast majority of our sub growth has happened in the last 2 years...shortly after I joined YTTalk...coincidence? :giggle:

A million is a very large number, so not many channels should expect that they'll ever get there through slow stable growth, although it is possible. Even if you're gaining 100 new subs every single day (and not losing any), it would take you 10,000 days, or more than 27 years (consider that YouTube is only 10 years old). At 1,000 subs every day it would still take 2.7 years.

Of course, all it takes is one big hit video to change all that overnight, and that can happen to anyone!

At the rate of my subscriber count, I don't think I would ever get there! But I honestly don't mind, I don't know what I'd do if I got 1m subs haha, wonder why i guess;p
I'm not sure what milestone I am most aspiring too, but one of the main things I want to do when I hit an insane milestone like 100k subs or so is do a huge giveaway with lots of winners, not sure why but thats something I'd really enjoy doing haha
Other than that, not sure..
