How is this possible..

Eh to me when your channel is smaller, everything's a lot more random and up to chance. It's just once one of your videos starts making a connection to some type of search result or related video, thats when the views (and subs) start to come it. It just sounds like he has hit that with one or two of his videos. Look at his channel and see what videos in particular are doing well.

After that perhaps check your own tags and meta data. Getting in with the search results gang means putting time into your tags to see what works, what doesn't, as well as making your own youtube searches for videos relating to your own and seeing what searches are recommended and what videos are related.

Perhaps he may have a more delicious thumbnail as well. Try improving yours for eye catchiness. Who knows? Could lead to a fluctuation of viewers from a related search you didn't know your video was in.

In any case, it's way too soon to start getting down about it bud ^_^ It's most likely just luck given how many factors are involved.
Just keep pumping out the videos, improving each time, and sharing around. You'll be good to go :thumbsup2:
I put really good tags on my videos and nothing.I am doing thumbnails by myself..still nothing,i work a lot on my videos but yea that's the result.I love making videos and yeah i will keep doing it.Maybe i can get somewhere or maybe not who knows.Well i can say that some are luckier than others for sure :)[DOUBLEPOST=1453991431,1453991385][/DOUBLEPOST]
It is obvious he sold his soul to Ebutuoy the dark lord of Youtube. He will give only his most loyal of minions the views.

Or it is just luck.. Perhaps he is entertaining and someone shared.
Haha maybe maybe :D

huh thats kind of weird, but idk maybe compare notes and see what happened? If he is willing to maybe show his analytics on where his views are coming from? Then that might help figure it out.

If you just started out on YouTube there is no such thing as luck. No-one is gonna find your videos unless you share them yourself on websites like Facebook, Twitter and Reddit. Basicly any community suited for your topic. If people like it, they'll subscribe for more. As soon as you get your first small audience the factor of luck is coming in.

I will ask him about that :)[DOUBLEPOST=1453999238,1453999188][/DOUBLEPOST]

off -topic just wanted to say you have a pretty cool banner in your signature :)[DOUBLEPOST=1453999790,1453999708][/DOUBLEPOST]I think you need to ask him if he got any referral traffic which I wouldn't be surprised if that;s the case considering you mentioned he didn't tag his first video. Either way don't let it discourage you just learn from it and move on. best of luck :)

Hello,it's dimpitsoon here and i want to ask you guys how is this even possible.Since i started my channel 2 weeks ago i have 11 videos, 26 subs and 500 views from all my videos together. One of my friends who have started 4 days ago doing videos of CS:GO like me has 3 videos since then. The first one got 3300 views, the second one got 300 and the third one got almost 2000.and 50+ subs.I feel great for him and his succes but how is this possible i still don't understand. Is it luck or idk.

Didn't read the WHOLE topic (sorry), but I would say that he was sharing stuff somewhere, used better thumbnail/SEO in some what whether its tags, title, description, etc, or I mean, if you keep saying he didn't do ANY of this. Then it isn't possible. A video doesn't get views without people finding it unless you buy them.

I kind of feel like you just want to keep saying "he didn't do any of this" over and over, which leads me to think if that is really true, then he bought views or something.

A video gets views when people find the video, like I said. They found it in search (SEO). They found it on an external website (Shared on twitter, fb, google+, reddit, websites, forums, etc). They found it through a direct message/email/pm with a direct link. A video can't get views without that, so he bought views, used a program/website for views, or you need to believe that he did share it lol.

Yeah I mean, there's no way unless he did something like that or he shared it some how. If he's your friend, ask him.
