Hey guys i was wondering is there anything i can do that will get me going as i am a brand new gaming channel (started about a week ago) and i was thinking how do people with no views or subs get going, do they just keep uploading videos until someone just subs or how...? ive already uploaded 5 videos but i dont know what to do...
thanks for the advice also what does SEO stand for?since you are a gaming channel this is going to be very tricky... It all comes down to SEO at this early stage. You need the watch time to rank your videos. Or else your videos get stuck in the void.
Id say optimize titles, description and tags. Nobody is searching for "why is this happening to me?"
Jump on a "tentpole" event and talk about it , give a major rant. Hot topics were and still is EP7.
A few days ago every major Vloger talked about the Fine Bros React announcement. Even smaller Youtubers <100 subs jumped on this bandwagon which got them instant 1000 subs.

Thanks for responding mateReddit is a different beast to any other social/forum site.
The users are very particular about shutting down self promotion, but in reality if you learn the site and really narrow your promotion to as specific a topic as you can you should be alright. there are alot of videos on reddit, but i found a subbreddit specifically for political videos that was great for me, brought in heaps of views.
Next time I had a sports video I didnt just post to r/sports, I used a subbreddit just for Australian rugby league and it was good again.
You just need good content and to post it in the best possible place. If it is relevant to the subbreddit you shouldnt have to many problems...
Have you ever done a campaign with a lower budget? I've tried twice, and have never gotten even 1 sub from ads. Any tips?I started with 0 views and 0 subscribers back in November.
When I had made a handful of videos I made a channel trailer/ad for Google AdWords.
I've been doing a Google AdWords campaign since late-November, and it is really working for me. (Currently at 550 subscribers as we speak)
I get between 5-22 subscribers a day, and the interaction on my videos are great!
It's a bit on the costy side, though. I have a budget of $6 a day.
But I'm willing to sacrifice $180 a month for consistent channel growth
And after a while it will start coming in naturally as well. ^^
Of course, I have videos that people want to watch. Or else they wouldn't subscribe and watch my videos just because of the ad.
So right now I'm just focusing on trying to make every video better than the last one, uploading consistently (I try daily, but sometimes I do bi-daily) and just having fun while doing everything from recording, to editing to uploading and interacting with my watchers ^^
