How do you get Really Good Video idea's ?

Anything can give me inspiration for a video. I'll just be thinking about something, and then suddenly realise "hey, that would make a great video!". Then I write it down, and when I'm about to write a script I look through the list. Of course, when I look back on them I realise most of the ideas are dreadful, but there are usually a couple of good ones that I can pick out.

What I do when I'm stuck is I look at other youtubers, see what they do, and see what I can do better for the same topic/type of video, as well as adding my own unique spin on it. For example, my upcoming "Logan Watches" series is largely inspired by Nostalgia Critic and Daz Games, so I guess just look for inspiration and add your unique spin to it. :)

I just try to make good quality content and if people like it, some people will share it :)
 
Picking trendy topics helps a lot! But I usually think up ideas when I'm at work and put them on my phone. I have a list of 30+ video ideas. If there is a hot item that comes up, I will always push my other ideas back in favor of the more trendy topic.
 
I've started making videos based around what I already do with my free time. That's when they're the most natural. Sometimes ideas just pop into my head randomly like when a stop motion video with star wars characters, lol.

My videos are based on three topics: long hair for men, cooking, and self-esteem. So finding topics is pretty straightforward, since I have to talk about the subject, and finding new and unique ways of making those topics funny or interesting or silly is what the challenge is for me. I'm lucky in that I film 2/3rds of my videos with my partner, and we're both long-time playwrights and actors and improv comedians, so we work extremely well together.
 
One way that i found is effective is looking at the videos that do well (Likes , views , watch time ect...) and branch of with the idea of the video. An example:
I made a video about reviewing a headset and it went well , so i decide to make another review about something by the same company , or something similar.
Hopefully that's understandable :D
