How do you get Really Good Video idea's ?

Well, I have my channel for almost a month and already reached 200+ subscribers.
How ? Well I try to make really good quality content... But I realised that it's not that easy to come up
with really good (original) video idea's :s
I need a few days to come up with a really good video idea...
How do you get your video idea's ? Do you search in the trending topics section ?
Do you watch lots of YouTube Video's to get idea's ?
I want to know :')
 
I keep up to date with the gaming news so I can sort of make videos on what is popular but also need a lot of thinking to come up with ideas
 
Sometimes anything can spark an idea. Sometimes a dumb idea can turn into a great video. When you come up with different ideas try to branch off of that idea into something great. On our channel we have a skit about being stalked because that day we felt like we were being stalked. So boom. We had ourselves an original idea. Goodluck to you!
 
My channel is primarily education-based, so I make videos on things that already exist. I just choose from a list of previously suggested topics and go from there! Vague as sh*t! Heh.
 
I usually ust sit down and think for maybe 3 minutes on topics that i've seen or thought about in the past week and which would make a good video, depends alot on what your channel is about though.

A lot of mine are just point and shoot videos of my dogs. My most popular dog video I actually planned out, our Dalmatian goes crazy and scratches the window when my girlfriend gets home... SO, I posted my GoPro by the door when I knew she was on the way home from work to catch this. Naturally I made it in slow motion and added some music, next thing you know it got like 100K views over a couple days when a popular page shared it. It should be passing 250K any day now. My second most popular dog video I just randomly pulled out my phone and caught something funny at the dog park. This one actually made it onto TV on FOX. So for me planning or just random seems to work equally good.

Wow, less than a month and already over 200 subs? It took me a year to reach 400+ :P if I may ask, how/where do you go to promote your videos? I don't really have much luck/knowledge of using Twitter :P

What I do when I'm stuck is I look at other youtubers, see what they do, and see what I can do better for the same topic/type of video, as well as adding my own unique spin on it. For example, my upcoming "Logan Watches" series is largely inspired by Nostalgia Critic and Daz Games, so I guess just look for inspiration and add your unique spin to it. :)
 
It's all in yor head man, you have to be creative. If you notice no big YouTubers aren't creative and branching off into other things.. Think about your fanbase and what they would like to see and add a twist to it! Make it original but fun!
