How can i come to know whether my video started showing ads and started earning money

My problem is slighty similar. I have the new layout and have the dollar sign to monetize, but my problem is i have videos from november than are stuck on "under review" and its a pain because its not generating any money. Does anyone know what i can do?

It sounds like youre just going to have to wait. Theres no way to speed up the process. Are there any copyrighted material in your videos, ie. music, pictures, background music?
