Headsets or Mic?

Yeah we think so, of course it depends on the quality of the mic vs the headset, but so far we've found mic quality has been substantially better than a headset!

i use to have one ear off and half a year on with my headset it was annoying but i got through it but i dont do gaming videos anymore so i when i just play video games i just have sound from the speakers
like with music i need headphones but i cant have it with games i know its weird

Ohh. It's not that weird. You do what makes you comfortable and you're not comfortable with using headphones while gaming. That's fine

I prefer to go with the mic. Having any sort of headphones on while recording doesn't really give me an idea of how the audio recording is going. Can't tell if I'm too loud, too quiet, weird noises, etc.

That normally means that I sacrifice listening to the game audio, but if I ever needed to, I can just use my Wii U's gamepad.

I'm just wondering if you guys prefer microphones over gaming headsets and why?

Well I use a headset so I can hear the sound of the game or something and I record my voice with a Microphone

Oddly for me it can be both. It rather depends really. If I am streaming I prefer a headset, I move about when I stream. For youtube, I want the best voice overs I can get but for that I have to use best of mic I can afford at the time. It all depends on what I working on at the time.
