HD CAMERAS ONLY?WHAT....

I've Got It
Recently i have come to the conclusion that people only like to watch videos in HD.
Yes i know, hd is amazing because its better quality and all but why is it so bad not to film in HD?

Me being a user on Youtube who doesn't film with a HD camera im wondering should i not bother with videos as for the amount of people i see in videos wanting to do collabs only want people with HD cameras.

I feel as if cameras are becoming a serious issue with youtube today for people like me who cant afford nice hd cameras as people will chose not to watch are content just because the content isn't in HD.

So, my questions for you are:

Do you film in HD?
Will you not watch peoples videos if they're not in HD
What are your thoughts on this topic?

I say continue to do videos in what ever way you can. HD cams have become cheaper though so eventually invest in getting one, but for now just make good content that's entertaining.
Those who complain and claim they only watch HD content will never truly get the great experience of watching an older tv show or type of content. Until it becomes remastered into some kind of HD format which I mean Dragon Ball just did and its 25 years old so. :p

HD Camera's are a lot cheaper than what they used to be and even cheaper in the sales. Personally I record in 1080p for my vlogs and 720p for gaming video's. I don't like watching things in 'Non-HD' as the quality really lacks.

As long as it's not horrendous quality, if the content is good I'll watch it. So HD's not a problem if what I'm watching good. If that made sense?

I film in HD most of the time, my iPhone is the lowest quality I use.
I watch non-HD, but if there are similar videos, I will watch the HD one first most of the time.

Some of my most viewed videos are not very high quality compared to what I make now, it's more about the content.[DOUBLEPOST=1388443498,1388443322][/DOUBLEPOST]

Here's an example of quality content without quality resolution.

If people like what you do they won't mind the non-HD. There are a lot of popular Youtubers that have terrible quality and editing even when they do film in HD

I'm kind of in a situation where I have an HD webcam, but my laptop can't handle recording in that high of quality. So I'm really wondering whether or not I should make any videos at all. I do watch some videos that are terrible quality, but funny. So that makes up for it not being HD.

What a predicament. :P

HD is important as 1. some cameras look fuzzy, not clear and or the noise might be annoying. one of the gopros sound terrible and i immediately stop watching it. i have a very good webcam for other stuff that only costs like £20 - £30 and i have a cheap headset to use as a mic. you don't need a camcorder. my webcam is way cheap and has amazing face detection, HD up to 1080p (i think) and good quality.

I film in HD - I wouldn't say its my preference, I've just always had a HD camera.
In regards watching other videos it depends on what it is... For example cartoons and old TV show clips, I'm happy to watch outside HD... If I watch a Vlog that is 240p cropped... I almost always turn off...

I read a book called 'Beyond Viral', they said in a survey a massive number of people will turn off for bad quality. I guess subliminally you're thinking "If they have poor image quality, they'll have poor content", It's just not the case!
