Has anyone ever stolen your videos before?

Push things faster usually.

EG - You send a strike but youtube is taking forever to review or you are having issues actually taking something down he can get it done far quicker.
YouTube is very serious about Copyright. They usually review DMCA notices in just few hours, no matter if it is holiday or weekend. They are required by law to do so. If it takes forever to issue a takedown, the problem is somewhere else, for example usage that may fall under fair use, derivative work etc.

We have access to content ID so it's easy to shut down stolen videos on YouTube. We did have an unauthorized clip used by MTV before. We only found out after fans stRted tweeting that they saw it. So the next time MTV reached out to buy a clip from us, I charged them double to make up for it.

I has happened to me numerous times, and I have always without fail claimed copyright on them. I dislike people taking content from others, especially when they don't ask. If you ask the answer is still no however. It takes a lot of time to do what I do, and I'll be damned to let someone take all the credit.

Many of my videos promote a yacht that is for sale, so I include my contact details at the end of the video. On that basis, at least if somebody steals my material they are still advertising for me. However, recently a competitor stole a video, cut the ending to remove my contact details, and uploaded it.

YouTube reacted very quickly, the video was removed within half an hour of my reporting it.
