Hey bro I respect you saying peeps should do a petition, thats fine but I just hate it when people just write s**t off as something being immature. I bet their "immature" acts will have a bigger impact than anyone doing 'the mature thing', thats all Im saying.
Maturity is subjective AND highly overrated anyways.

I agree, I may write things off as immature a little too quickly but this movement, although effective in the sense that it has blown up, is still not the best way to go about things. Sure it will get people's attention. But google already knows there is a problem and the spam is an annoyance to the youtuber.

Its a given though. The #1 video sharing website is not going to leave its users in such turmoil that they think spamming is the best option.
But you're right, they should announce something to stop the craziness.

Someone posted on one of my videos saying to check out their channel and it automatically got marked as spam. Doesn't seem too bad after all. Filtering spam better.

A) there is no turmoil, just a couple of spammers
B) Youtube is number in such a way that they almost have a monopoly. They have no need to fix anything as they're so far ahead of the others. Although doing that for prolonged periods of time will lead Youtube to become obsolete.

Have you looked at famous youtubers videos? You cannot read any of the comments because of the spam. If by a couple you mean thousands, then you're right.
2nd, the size of youtube has nothing to do with the fact that they will fix it. Being so large makes it more imperative to do so! If not, people will leave and youtube will decline.

We are not discussing if the sky is blue or pink. That would need someone to provide facts and not opinions.
We are discussing if it is a good idea that people can leave comments on a channel without the channel owner being able to reply to them. Your opinion apparently is yes. Our opinion is no, it isn't a good idea. We have given reasons as to why we think it isn't a good idea and you have done the same.
We don't agree. We don't have the same opinion. That's cool. I respect your OPINION. Please respect our OPINION, but don't start getting this idea into your head that your opinion is a fact, because by definition, it isn't.
